Cheeyappara Waterfalls is on the Kochi - Madurai Highway (National
Highway 49), between Neriamangalam and Adimali. It is in Idukki
district, Kerala. It is only about 10 km away from Adimali. There is approximate distance of 35 Kms from Munnar Town
Cheeyappara Waterfall cascades down in seven steps. It is a real feast for the eyes. This is also a great place for trekking. If you are travelling via Neriamangalam and Adimali on the Kochi - Madurai highway then this is must visit spot. In monsoon season this falls will be in full fledge and entry inside the fall used to restrict in period. In normal time (when the water density is less)
vistors can enjoy and have a splash in this natural shower.
Just opposite mountian of Cheeyappara there another falls which is Valara Waterfalls and both these give an astounding chain of waterfalls and provide a particularly magnificent treat for the eye. Area is surrounded by lush, dense forests that are home to a wide variety of small animals and birds.
